If the vehicle only moves slowly with high rpm. as starting in "winter" mode, and then bangs into the gear, the rear transmission cover must be replaced
according to this service bulletin.

Drive the vehicle so that the transmission reaches normal operating temperature, approx 100°C (212°F).
In workshop
Check oil temperature by using VST and test mode 5. The test can take up to 20 sec to be performed.

Ignition on.

Check the transmission oil temperature by using Diagnostic Test Mode 5. The test will take up to 20 sec.
Move the gear lever from D to R 2-4 times. If the engagement is very hard the seal ring is worn.
Note!
When repeating the D-R shift one must wait at least 3 sec in D-position to give the C2 clutch accumulator time to empty its chamber. This is
necessary to avoid an incorrect diagnose. A very quick movement, D-R-D-R normally gives hard R-engagement, even with a normal operating
transmission.
