Install protective socket 999 5562 on ball joint.

3. Install depressor on control arm

Install depressor 999 5563 on control arm.

-

Remove left engine mounting from transmission and sub-frame.

4. Detach drive shaft from transmission

-

Use jimmy bar 999 5462 between transmission and inside of drive shaft.

-

Fold out spring strut and remove drive shaft from transmission. 

Let end of the drive shaft rest against subframe.

NOTE:  Protect end of the drive shaft against dirt and mechanical damage.

5. Remove the seal ring

-

Use a jimmy bar.

6. Install a new seal ring

-

Smear some grease P/N 1161241-3, on the sealing ring lip.

-

Use drift 999 5541 and bar 999 1801.

Place the side of the drift marked AW against the drive shaft seal.

-

Tap in the seal ring until the drift is in contact with the transmission housing.
