Background
When touching up the door sill paint protective tape should be applied on the door sill in area's where the sill trim panel contacts the painted body This
must be done before installing the sill trim panel.

Marking for the paint protection
Position the sill trim panel against the door sill in its installed position. Do not secure the sill trim panel.
Mark approximately 2 mm (5/64") above the door sill where the sill trim panel is positioned against the door sill using masking tape (see the shaded
sections as illustrated).
Remove the sill trim panel.
