Rails
New XC roof rails were introduced to V70 models from chassis number 587536 onwards. New front anchors for XC rails has been in production from
chassis number 614393 onwards. The new anchors reduce the likelihood of water running from the roof and along the front door windows.
A repair kit featuring modified front anchors is available as a spare part and can be used on cars with the previous anchor design.
In the event of a documented customer complaint the front anchors should be replaced as described in this Service Bulletin.
Load arches
A new friction rubber for load arches has been brought into production during model year 1999. A repair kit using the modified friction rubber for load
arches (4 pieces) is available as a spare part and replaces the previous design. All rubber will be replaced during repair.
