Vacuum Vent Valve: Service and Repair

Replacing brake and clutch valves

Removing

-

Ignition off.

-

Remove soundproofing panel on driver's side.

-

Carefully remove brake/clutch valve from bracket.

-

Disassemble connector and disconnect vacuum hose from brake/clutch valve.

Installing

-

Assemble connector and connect vacuum hose to brake/clutch valve.

-

Install brake/clutch valve. Check location in bracket.

-

Shake (do not pull) brake/clutch valve lightly and check that it is secure.

-

Press pedal so that it is not in contact with the brake/clutch valve.

-

Pull piston out as far as possible and release pedal slowly. The brake/clutch valve will then adjust itself automatically.

Check function and check that brake/clutch valve is airtight.

-

Reinstall soundproofing panel.
