Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

Brake pipe master cylinder / ABS unit, replacing

Note! The method is almost the same for left and right-hand drive versions. On right-hand drive cars, the brake pipes are positioned between the

master cylinder and the ABS unit. They are clamped to the cowl in two places. All the illustrations in this section show the left-hand drive
version.

Preparation

-

Disconnect the battery lead.

Removing pipes

-

Collect the brake fluid. See Brake calipers front, replacing: Collect the brake fluid.  See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Brake
Caliper/Service and Repair

-

Remove the plastic cap and the cable holder.

Switch off the ignition.

Remove:

-

the plastic cap over the positive cable

-

the positive cable nut at the wheel arch. Fold the cable to one side

-

the screw on the clamp around the positive cable

-

the nuts on the cable holder.
