Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
EXHAUST MANIFOLDS, REPLACEMENT
1. Remove front exhaust pipe

Remove nuts in manifold joints.
2. Remove heat shield
-
Remove retaining bolts (twelve).
-
Remove shield.
3. Remove exhaust manifolds and gaskets
-
Inspect surfaces of joints with cylinder head and front exhaust pipe
-
Clean joint surfaces.
-
Inspect studs (tighten to: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)) and nuts (tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)).
Replace as required.
4. Install exhaust manifolds
-
Use new gaskets.
