Tighten manifolds to cylinder head.
Tighten to: 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Mount lifting lug on studs between 3rd and 4th exhaust branches.

Use joint sealing compound part No. 1 161035-9, or equivalent.
5. Install heat shield
-
Bolt shield to rear manifold.
Tighten to: 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
6. Install front exhaust pipe

Tighten bolted joints with manifolds.
Tighten to: 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.) (10 mm) or 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) (8 mm).

Use thread locking compound.
NOTE:
-
Undo bolted joint after catalytic converter and retighten to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

This is necessary to prevent stresses in the system.
7. Check operation
Start engine.

Inspect for leaks
