Erasing DTCs and Resetting Adaptive Functions
It is important both that diagnostic trouble codes are erased and adaptive functions are reset when the engine control module is replaced or when
remedying diagnostic trouble codes EFI-231, EFI-232 and EFI-233. If this is not done the car may run poorly despite an absence of faults. This can be
carried out in two ways:

NOTE: If using the engine control module from another car, diagnostic trouble codes (if any) must be erased and adaptive functions reset as
described above before engine control module is reinstalled in car.
