951 2615 Pump

999 5443 Puller

999 5444 Press Tool

999 5547 Socket

999 5575 Puller Cylinder

Or Equivalent

REMOVAL 

1. Drain approximately 3 liters of coolant.

-

The drain cock is on the right-hand side under the radiator.

2. Remove drive belt from the pump.

-

Use an interlock or bar to take the load off the automatic tensioner.

-

On later versions use socket with a bar.

-

Remove drive belt.

3. Extract the hydraulic fluid from the power steering pump with an oil extraction syringe.
4. Remove the thermostat housing

5. Remove pump mounting screws. 

-

Slacken off the pressure pipe screws 1/4 turn.

-

3 screws accessible through the pulley holes

-

2 screws on the opposite side of the pump

5. Remove pump from bracket
