6. Remove pressure pipes from pump:

Place a container under the power steering pump.

Cover generator (GEN) with clean paper. 

-

Remove the old O-ring. 

-

Carefully cut the return pipe a little.

NOTE:  The hose should not be cut behind the tape markings on the pipe ends. Be careful with the reservoir terminals.

7. Drain the system of oil.

-

Raise front suspension so that wheels hang free.

-

Turn the steering from lock to lock.

-

Ensure that no fluid drips into the generator.

8. Mount the pump in a vise and remove the pulley.

-

Use puller to remove the pulley

COMPONENT REPLACEMENT 

1. Install pulley

-

Lubricate pump shaft with oil.
