Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
Removal

1. Removing steering wheel module:
-
Make a note of radio code if anti-theft coded radio is installed.

Ignition off.
-
Disconnect battery negative lead.
-
Ensure that the steering wheel lock is unlocked.
Turn ignition switch to position I so that the steering wheel lock is unlocked.
WARNING: The Battery Must Not Be Connected When The Steering Wheel Module Is Removed Or Installed.

Remove screws to steering wheel module.
Adjust steering wheel rake for better access.
Undo screws (2 x Torx 30) from countersunk holes on back of steering wheel.
Turn the steering wheel (90° in both directions) to access the screws.
