Output Shaft Bearing/Bushing: Service and Repair
Rear Extension Housing Bearing, Replacement
Special tools: 9985972, 9995088, 9995149, 9995244, 9995304, 9995492, 9995496
NOTE: Cleanliness is extremely important when working on automatic transmissions. Always use clean containers and ensure that the workplace
is free of dust and dirt.

Remove plug and drain fluid from oil pan.
CAUTION: Fluid may be extremely hot if car has recently been driven.

Reinstall plug with new seal. Tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft lb).

Position assembly hoist under transmission.

Position assembly hoist and universal fixture 998 5972 under transmission, with fixture in light contact with housing.

Undo clips securing H02S lead to transmission member
-
Remove transmission member.

Disconnect propeller shaft using special tool 999 5244.
-
Move propeller shaft aside and secure with cable tie.

Remove bolts (four) in transmission mounting bracket. Remove bracket.
