Special tools: 9995069, 9995149, 9995244, 9995304, 9995492
NOTE: Cleanliness is extremely important when working on automatic transmissions. Always use clean containers and ensure that the workplace
is free of dust and dirt.
CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damage to HO2S lead during work.

Disconnect propeller shaft.

Use special tool 999 5244 to remove propeller shaft bolts (four) from drive flange.

Move propeller shaft aside and secure with cable tie.

Remove drive flange from output shaft.

Use drift to undo nut locking tabs.

Remove nut. Use special tool 9995149 as counterhold. Remove drive flange.

Use special tool 999 5304 if flange is seized on shaft.
-
Remove washers (two) behind flange. Remove 0-ring from flange.
-
Inspect flange sealing face for damage. Replace flange if necessary.
