on the battery causing the vehicle to go into "Power save mode". "Power Save mode" will cause certain nodes to shut down to conserve battery power.
KNOWN SYMPTOMS:
Example for All New S60 MY 2011 after an Upgrade of IAM (Integrated Audio Module):
Message in the DIM (Driver Information Module) "Low battery Power save mode"
The ICM (Infotainment Control Module) screen shuts down since the ICM is given information that the power from the battery is too low.
SERVICE:
When an external power source is connected to a vehicle for a SWDL always connect the negative cable from the power source to the chassis of the
vehicle and not directly to the battery. The positive connection should always be made before the negative connection to keep the sparks away from the
battery case area.
VIDA 2011A is currently planned to be updated with this information when downloading software to a vehicle.
