Removal

Remove the contact reel for the steering wheel module. Refer to: See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service
and Repair/Contact Reel
Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to: Combined instrument panel See: Combined Instrument Panel.
Torque: M6, 10 Nm
Remove the center console. Refer to: Floor console, TF-80SC AWD See: Console/Service and Repair/Floor Console Floor console, M66 AWD See:
Console/Service and Repair/Floor Console.
Remove the stereo control module. Refer to: General audio player module See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Entertainment
Systems/Entertainment System Control Module/Service and Repair/General Audio Player Module.
Remove the rotary switch for hazard flashers. Refer to: Switch, hazard warning flashers See: Lighting and Horns/Hazard Warning Lamps/Hazard
Warning Switch/Service and Repair.
Remove the A-pillar panels. Refer to: A-pillar trim panel See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/A-Pillar Trim Panel.
Detach the switch for the air bag on the passenger side and its cable connector.
