999 5418 Measuring kit See: Tools and Equipment/999 5418 Measuring Kit
Fit the bracket that is part of the measuring equipment. Use M12x40 wing screws and M12 nuts from the kit.
Fit the dial indicator in the bracket. Position the dial indicator's tip toward the brake disc.
Slowly rotate the brake disc. The maximum lateral runout of the hub should not exceed 0.02 mm.
If lateral runout exceeds 0.02 mm, replace the brake disc. Refer to: Front brake disc See: Service and Repair/Front Brake Disc.
Note! Always check the wheel hub's lateral runout before installing a new brake disc. Refer to: Wheel hub front, checking See:
Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheel Hub/Testing and Inspection/Wheel Hub Front, Checking.
