Central electrical unit engine compartment, replacing

Removal

Preparatory work

Disconnect the battery negative lead. See Battery, replacing See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.

Remove the power steering fluid and coolant reservoirs. Lift up and move to one side

Remove the cover from the central electrical unit

Remove the engine control module (ECM) Engine control module (ECM), replacing See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control
Systems/Engine Control Module/Service and Repair. Remove the transmission control module (TCM) Transmission control module (TCM),
replacing See: Powertrain Management/Transmission Control Systems/Relays and Modules - Transmission and Drivetrain/Relays and Modules -
A/T/Control Module/Service and Repair.
