Antenna Module (ATM)
The main function of the antenna module (ATM) is to handle the antenna signals for:

AM/FM
-
GPS (Global Positioning System), receiving position signals
-
Traffic message channel (TMC), receiving traffic information.
The antenna module (ATM) consists of a thin film antenna and a receiver. There is a base unit which only has AM/FM reception. The control module
can be upgraded with GPS and traffic message channel (TMC) units. The following types are available:

base unit with only AM/FM-reception without the possibility of upgrading, for market codes EU and US

base unit with only AM/FM-reception with the possibility of upgrading, for market codes EU and US
-
base unit with only AM/FM-reception with the possibility of upgrading, for market code JP.
The control module is positioned in the rear of the roof. Detach the headlining in the passenger compartment if the control module is replaced. For

The antenna module (ATM) uses serial communication on the MOST network to communicate with other control modules.
The control module checks activations and input and output signals via an integrated diagnostic system. A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the
control module detects a fault.
Any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are stored in the control module memory. This information can be read off using VIDA via the data link connector
(DLC) in the car.
If the antenna module (ATM) is not supplied with voltage communication on the MOST net does not function and the Infotainment system shuts down.

Signals
The table below summarizes the input signals to and output signals from the antenna module (ATM). The signal types are divided into directly connected
signals and MOST communication. The illustration below displays the same information with the Volvo component designations.
