XC90 2.5T AWD L5-2.5L Turbo VIN 59 B5254T2 (2003)
Remove the Torx TX40 screws for the control system cover.
Clean the sealing compound from the threads.
Use tap M8 x 1.25.
Remove the cover. Use joint wedge 999 5477 JOINT WEDGE See: Tools and Equipment/999 5477 Joint Wedge.
Carefully tap it in between the cover and gearbox so as not to bend the seal flange on the cover.
Clean the gasket residue from the cover and the gearbox.
Removing the cable harness
Remove:
-
the connectors for the solenoid valves
-
the screw for the oil temperature sensor holder.
Remove the sensor from the control system.
Remove:
-
the cable harness from the holders on the control system
-
the cable harness.
