DESCRIPTION:
When diagnosing a humming noise that appears with little or no pedal application during take off or parking lot maneuvers, attention should be paid to
front brakes. A mass damper kit has been developed as a service solution for this specific front brake noise. This mass damper kit only applies to XC90
vehicles with single-piston calipers (also called FNR brakes) in the front and must not be used on twin-piston calipers (also called 2FN brakes). The
chassis number range in the header should be used to differentiate between the two types. The damper only applies to vehicles within the chassis range in
the header.
