Gasket/O-ring servo cylinder, replacing

Note! The servo cylinder is located in the transmission.

Caution! Cleanliness is extremely important when working on automatic transmissions. Use lint free paper or rags.

Caution! Read through the instructions before beginning work.

Removal

Preparations

Suck up the oil from the transmission using an oil suction device.
Take out a container for the oil.
Raise the car.

Remove:

-

the splash guard under the engine. Blow and wipe clean around the transmission oil trough

-

the transmission oil trough. See Transmission oil / oil filter, replacing See: Fluid Filter - A/T/Service and Repair.

Removing the servo cylinder (2-1)

Slacken off the 3 screws.
Pull down the cover with the servo cylinder. Check the position of the small strainer on the cylinder.

Caution! Note the position of the strainer for reinstallation.

Lift the piston from the cover.
