Tailgate wiper arm/blade, replacing

Special tools:

Removal

Removing tailgate wiper

Fold up the wiper arm

-

Turn the blade 90° towards the arm and pull off the blade.

Remove the cover

-

Slacken off the nut a few turns. Use puller 998 7693 UNIVERSAL SEPARATOR B75 MM L80 MM See: Tools and Equipment/998 7693
Universal Separator B75 mm L80 mm to remove the wiper arm

Remove the nut

-

Remove the wiper arm.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications.  See: Specifications/Mechanical Specifications/Starting and Charging/System Specifications

Installing tailgate wiper arm and blade

Reset the motor

-

Position the arm with the nut. Adjust the arm so that the blade is in the middle of the black area on the windshield. Tighten the nut

Test operate and reset the wiper. The blade must come to rest in the middle of the black area on the windshield. Alternatively, if the windshield is
dry, approximately 10 mm below the upper edge of the field
