Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

Ignition coil, replacing

Removal

Removing the engine covers

Remove the upper engine covers by pulling straight up.

Removal of ignition coils, cylinder 1, 3, 5 and 7 (bank 1)

Remove:

-

the 4 connectors from the ignition coils

-

the 4 screws of the ignition coils

-

the 4 ignition coils of the cylinders.

Removal of ignition coils, cylinder 2, 4, 6 and 8 (bank 2)

Remove:

-

the 2 screws of the cable harness

-

the retaining screw of the upper engine cover.

Carefully bend aside the cable harness.

Remove:

-

the 4 connectors from the ignition coils

-

the 4 screws of the ignition coils

-

the 4 ignition coils of the cylinders.

Installation
