Install:

-

the power steering pump

-

the bolts, M8 x3

-

the pressure pipe. Use a new O-ring

-

the screw for the pressure pipe (1). Tighten. See 

-

the delivery hose with the clamp (2).

Installing the auxiliaries belt/belt tensioner

Install the auxiliaries belt.

Installing the intake manifold

Install the intake manifold in accordance with: Intake manifold/gasket, replacing, B8444S See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Seals and
Gaskets/Intake Manifold Gasket/Service and Repair.

Finishing

Warning! Avoid skin contact with the oil.

Install:

-

the hose with the clamp to the oil reservoir

-

the oil reservoir.

Fill the power steering fluid reservoir.

Note! Use Volvo power steering fluid, P/N 116 1529-1 to ensure the correct oil quality.

Hang the oil reservoir from the hood catch. Use welding wire or similar. Ensure that the hose is extended.
Turn the steering wheel between both end positions 10 times.
Check and fill with oil as necessary.
Apply the parking brake. Start the engine.
A: Turn the steering wheel slowly to the right, keep it at the end position for a maximum of 2 seconds.
B: Turn the steering wheel to the left, keep it at the end position for a maximum of 2 seconds.
Switch off the engine and wait 5 minutes. Repeat step A and B 10 times. Repeat the procedure. Switch off the engine and wait 5 minutes. Repeat step A
and B 10 times.
