Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair

1.

Remove master cylinder as described under MASTER CYLINDER.

2.

Disconnect power booster at brake pedal.

3.

Remove booster.

4.

Check distance between booster pushrod and booster body at rest. Clearance should be .032-.040 inch. Adjust as necessary.

5.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque brake booster attaching nut to 11 ft. lbs.
