Torque Test
1.
Mount starter on suitable bench tester.
2.
Adjust voltage at starter terminals to obtain a current draw of 315 A, at 7-7.2 volts.
3.
Lock test bench ring gear and move solenoid completely in.
4.
Correct starter torque is 5.9 ft. lbs.
