Control Arm: Service Precautions
FRONT
NOTE:
-
Wipe off the grease before tightening the nut at the ball joint.

The right and left damper forks are not symmetrical. The left damper fork is marked with Z5L" while the right damper fork is marked with
"Z5R". Do not interchange them.
REAR
CAUTION:
-
Replace the self-locking nuts after removal.

Be careful not to damage the ball joint boot.
-
Any bolts or nuts connected to rubber mounts or bushings should be tightened with the vehicle on the ground.

Torque the castle nut to the lower torque specification, then tighten it only far enough to align the slot with the pin hole. Do not align the nut by
loosening.
NOTE:
-
The ball joint remover will interfere with the lower arm when removing the lower arm. To prevent interference, remove the beam's pivot bolts
before installing the ball joint remover.

The ball joint remover will interfere with the brake hose bracket when removing the upper arm. To prevent interference, remove the brake hose
bracket before installing the ball joint remover.

Wipe off the oil, dirt or grease from the threads before tightening the fasteners.

Make sure the toe adjuster cams on lower arm B are installed in the same direction.

The right and led lower arm A are symmetrical. Install so the paint mark of "R" and "L" point to the front.

The left upper arm is stamped with "L" while the right upper arm is stamped with "R".
-
After installing the suspension arm, check the rear wheel alignment, and adjust if necessary.
