Backup Lamp Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect the connectors.
2. Check for continuity between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals.

There should be continuity with the shift lever in reverse.

There should be no continuity with the shift lever any other position but reverse.

3. If necessary, replace the back-up light switch.

NOTE:  Replace the washer with a new one.
