Remote Switch: Customer Interest
Repair Procedure

1.

Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the audio unit, then write down your customer's radio station presets.

2.

Disconnect the battery negative cable and the battery positive cable; then wail at least 3 minutes to allow the SRS control unit to discharge.

3.

Remove the access panel from the steering wheel (two screws).

4 Unplug the cable reel 2P connector from the driver's airbag 2P connector.

NOTE: 

When unplugged, the driver's airbag 2P connector is automatically shorted.

5.

Make sure the front wheels are aligned straight ahead.

6.

Remove the coin pocket, then remove the dashboard lower cover (one screw and seven clips). Remove the knee holster (four bolts).

7.

Remove the two Torx bolts from the steering wheel, then remove the driver's airbag.
