[NEW] 

4.

Install a "B" collar over the shift control shaft with the inset facing the torque converter housing. The "B" collar has no grooves.

5.

Temporarily install the control lever on the shift control shaft.

6.

Measure the clearance between the collar and the control lever with a feeler gauge.

7.

Install collar "C" and remeasure the clearance.
