Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Glass/Regulator Replacement

1. Remove:

Door panel

^

Plastic cover

2. Lower the glass fully, then peel off the channel guide cover. Remove the screws, then remove the rear channel guide by pulling it upward.

NOTE: When installing the channel guide cover, apply the double-faced adhesive tape to it.

3. Carefully move the glass until you can see the bolts, then remove them.

NOTE: Take care not to drop the glass inside the door.

4. Carefully pull the glass out through the window slot.

NOTE:

Take care not to drop the glass inside the deer.

Check the guide pin for damage, and replace it if necessary.

Scribe a line around the guide pin to show the original location.
