Trunk / Liftgate Latch Release Cable: Service and Repair
Trunk Lid Opener Cable Replacement
1. Remove these items:

Trunk lid trim

Trunk side trim panel, left side
2. Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable (A) from the trunk lid latch (B).
3. Using a clip remover, detach the clips (C), then remove the cable bracket (D) from the body.
4. Remove the trunk lid opener cable from the vehicle. Take care not to bend the cable.
5. Install the cable in the reverse order of removal, and replace any damaged clips.
