Lateral Accelerometer: Testing and Inspection
Lateral Acceleration Sensor Inspection
CAUTION:
-
Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive.
-
Do not use impact wrench.
NOTE: For accurate reading, the vehicle must be level.
1. Remove the center console panel.
2. Remove the lateral acceleration sensor (A) from the left lower side with the connector connected.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
4. Measure the voltage between the lateral acceleration sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground.
-
When the connector side is level, the voltage is approximately 2.5 V. When the connector side is facing up, the voltage is approximately 3.5 V.
When the connector side is facing down, the voltage is approximately 1.5 V.
5. If the voltage is not specified, replace the lateral acceleration sensor.
6. After replacing the lateral acceleration sensor, perform the neutral position memorization.
