9. Separate the tie-rod ball joint and steering knuckle using the special tool.
CAUTION: Avoid damaging the ball joint boot.
10. Disconnect the shift linkage. Refer to Transmision and Drivetrain.
11. Remove the three way catalytic converter.
12. Remove the return pipe clamp from the left side of the rear beam, and move the return pipe above the steering gearbox.
13. Remove the rear beam brace.
14. Remove the left tie-rod end, then slide the rack all the way to the right.
