Power Steering Pump: All Technical Service Bulletins
Repair Procedure
1.
Remove the power steering pump from the car. Refer to page 17-18 of the 1999-01 3.2TL Service Manual or page 17-35 of the 1998 Integra
Service Manual.
2.
Clamp the power steering pump in a vise with soft jaws. Hold the pulley with the special tool, and remove the pulley nut and the pulley.
3.
Remove the pump from the vise.
4.
Remove the four flange bolts.
5.
Hold the power steering pump assembly with the pump cover on the bottom. Loosen the pump housing by gently tapping the side of it with a
plastic hammer. With one hand holding the pump cover, slowly pull the housing off. The outer side plate, pump cam ring, pump rotor, and vane
assembly will slide out of the housing as an assembly. Place this assembly, as you removed it, on a clean workbench.
