7. Insert intake and exhaust valves in the head and measure valve stem installed height.

Intake Valve Stem Installed Height:

Standard (New): 37.465 - 37.935 mm (1.4750 - 1.4935 inches)
Service Limit: 38.185 mm (1.5033 inches)

Exhaust Valve Stem Installed Height:

Standard (New): 37.165 - 37.635 mm (1.4632- 1.4817 inches)
Service Limit: 37.885 (1.4915 inches) 

8. If valve stem installed height is over the service limit, replace valve and recheck. If still over the service limit, replace cylinder head; the valve seat

in the head is too deep.
