Wiper Motor: Service and Repair
1.
Position wiper arms in the winter (exposed) position.
2.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
3.
With wiper arm lifted away from windshield, pull lock pin tab out to release spring pressure.
4.
Remove wiper arm cap nuts and the wiper arms.
5.
Remove hood seal, lower molding and air scoops, then pry wiper linkage away from motor arm.
6.
Unfasten wiper connectors from bracket, then disconnect electrical connectors from wiper motor.
7.
Remove wiper motor attaching bolts and the motor.
8.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Apply suitable grease to joints and ensure linkages operate smoothly.
b. Prior to installing wiper arms, turn ignition switch on and wiper switch off. Following installation, ensure tips of wiper arms rest .31-.39 inch
from the air scoop.
