Turn Signal Switch: Service and Repair
On Legend models equipped with air bag restraint system, use extreme care when working around steering column or center console area to
avoid serious personal injury. All electrical harnesses for this system are covered with a yellow outer insulation, with related components
located in the steering column, center console, dash panel and front fenders. It is recommended that only authorized personnel work on vehicles
with this type of restraint system.
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Remove steering wheel.
3.
Remove steering wheel lower cover.
4.
On models equipped with cruise control, remove cruise control slip ring.
5.
On all models, remove turn signal cancelling sleeve.
6.
Remove upper column holder, bending plate, bending plate base and bending plate guide.
7.
Disconnect combination switch electrical connector.
8.
Remove combination switch attaching screws and the switch.
9.
Reverse procedure to install.
