Brake Pedal Assy: Adjustments

1.

Loosen brake light switch locknut, then back off switch until it breaks contact with brake pedal.

2.

Loosen pushrod locknut, then turn pushrod in or out as necessary until pedal height measures as follows:
a. 7.05 inches on 1989 Integra models.
b. 6.10 inches (manual transaxle) 6.3 inches (automatic transaxle) on 1990-92 Integra models.
c. 6.7 inches on 1989-90 Legend models, 8.4 inches on 1991-92 Legend models.
d. 7.83 inches (manual transaxle) 7.64 inches (automatic transaxle) on 1992 Vigor models.

3.

Turn in brake light switch until plunger is full depressed, then back switch off 1/2 turn and tighten locknut.

4.

With engine stopped, ensure brake pedal freeplay is as follows:
a. .04-.2 inch on Integra models.
b. .06-.2 inch on Legend models.
c. .06-.2 inch on Vigor models.

5.

Ensure brake lights go out with brake pedal released.
