Alignment: Service and Repair
Toe-In
Ensure tires are properly inflated prior to checking or adjusting toe-in.
1.
Raise rear of vehicle and position turning radius gauges under rear wheels, then lower vehicle.
2.
Center steering wheel spokes and measure difference in toe measurements with parking brake released and wheels in the straight-ahead position.
3.
If toe-in does not meet specifications, proceed as follows:
a. Loosen locknuts, then turn adjusting bolt as necessary until toe-in meets specifications.
b. Install new locknuts and tighten while holding adjusting bolt in position.
