Air/Fuel Mixture: Adjustments
WARNING: DO NOT smoke during this procedure. Keep any open flame away from your work area.
NOTE: Idle Mixture is ECU controlled, it can only be checked, there are NO provisions for adjustment. For Idle Mixture related problems refer to,
"COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS".
1.
Run engine to operating temperature (cooling fan comes ON).
2.
Connect a tachometer.
3.
Check and adjust idle speed as necessary refer to "IDLE SPEED".
4.
Connect a CO-meter and check CO content with accessories OFF. CO content should not exceed:
0.1%
5.
If CO content is out of specification, refer to "COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS".
6.
Disconnect the tachometer.
