Throttle Body: Description and Operation
Throttle Body
The throttle body assembly controls intake air flow for various engine demands. It is located at the front of the intake manifold between the air cleaner
and the throttle body base.
The throttle body is a single barrel, side draft type. It is operated by the accelerator pedal via the throttle cable. Components include a throttle plate,
throttle housing, throttle shaft, idle adjusting screw, and throttle angle sensor.
