Ball Joint: Testing and Inspection
NOTE: O.E. does not specify a test procedure.
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Grasp tire at top and bottom.
3. Shake tire back and forth, check for any side to side movement in ball joint. Record dial indicator readings.
4. Replace ball joint if there is any side to side movement.
