Clutch Switch Signal: Description and Operation

PURPOSE

Informs the Engine Control Module (ECM) of the Clutch Pedal position.  This information is used for engine control and Cruise Control
purposes.

OPERATION

The Clutch Switch provides continuity to ground when the clutch pedal is released and removes continuity when the pedal is depressed.

CONSTRUCTION

The switch is encased in a threaded metal housing, with an attached two pin connector.
