Drive the vehicle on a road that has dips, a large rolling bump, or a similar condition. If the squeak or crunch occurs when the rear suspension goes
through a large amount of travel, go to REPAIR PROCEDURE. If the noise is not a squeak or crunch, this service bulletin does not apply; continue with
normal troubleshooting to find the cause of the noise.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
Replace the rear bump stops:
^ Refer to page 18-45 thru 18-48 of the 07-09 MDX Service Manual, or
^ Online, enter keywords BUMP STOP, then select Rear Spring/Bump Stop Removal/Installation from the list.
