Removal and Installation
Rear Heater-A/C Unit Removal and Installation
1. When the engine is cool, drain the engine coolant from the radiator.
2. Recover the refrigerant with a recovery/recycling/charging station.
3. Remove the center console.
4. Remove the shift cable from the shift lever.
5. Disconnect the connectors (A) from the shift lock solenoid, the mode switch, the front stereo amplifier and the rear blower motor relay, then
remove the wire harness clips (B). Remove the bolts and the shift lever bracket (C).
6. Slide the hose clamps (A) back, then disconnect the inlet heater hose (8) and the outlet heater hose (C) from the rear heater core. Engine coolant
will run out when the hoses are disconnected; drain it into a clean drip pan. Be sure not to let coolant spill on the electrical parts or the painted
surfaces. If any coolant spills, rinse it off immediately.
