Spoiler: Service and Repair
Tailgate Spoiler Trim Replacement
NOTE: Take care not to scratch the tailgate spoiler trim or the tailgate.
1. From inside the tailgate, remove the bolts (A).
2. Remove the tailgate upper trim panel .
3. Remove the tailgate spoiler trim (B).
NOTE: Replace the clip pin (C) and the clip grommet (D) as an assembly.
1. From inside the tailgate, release the clip (E).
2. Close the tailgate, then lift the tailgate spoiler trim to detach the clips (F).
3. Disconnect the rear window wiper washer tube (G).
4. Remove the grommet (H) from the tailgate, then disconnect the high mount brake light connector (I).
4. If you are reusing the original tailgate spoiler trim, carefully remove the remaining double-sided adhesive tape from the tailgate spoiler trim. Also
carefully remove the remaining double-sided adhesive tape from the tailgate. Clean the tailgate spoiler trim and the tailgate surfaces with a shop
towel dampened in isopropyl alcohol.
5. Attach new double-sided adhesive tape to the edge of the tailgate spoiler trim (A) as shown.
