After a collision where the a front airbags, a side airbags, the a side curtain airbags, or a seat belt tensioners were deployed, go to Component
Replacement/Inspection After Deployment See: Service and Repair. After a collision where airbags, the side airbags, or the side curtain airbags
did not deploy, inspect for any damage or any deformation on the SRS unit, the front impact sensors, the side impact sensors, and the roll rate
sensor. Also, do the front seat active head restraint inspection See: Body and Frame/Seats/Head Rest/Testing and Inspection. Replace all damaged
parts.

Do not disassemble the SRS unit, the front impact sensors, the side impact sensors, the driver's seat position sensor, the front passenger's weight
sensors, or the roll rate sensor.

Always install the SRS unit, the front impact sensors, the side impact sensors, and the roll rate sensor with new TORX bolts torqued to 9.8 Nm
(1.0 kg-m, 7.2 lb-ft)

Do not spill water or oil on the SRS unit any of the sensors.
Wiring Precautions
Some of the SRS wiring can be identified by special yellow outer covering, and SRS connectors can be identified by their yellow color. Observe the
following instructions.

Never attempt to modify, splice, or repair SRS wiring.
If there is an open or damage in SRS wiring, replace the harness.
