SRS Unit Replacement
SRS Unit Replacement
Removal
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures, then wait for 3 minutes
before starting work.
2. Remove the center console See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Center
Console Removal/Installation.
3. Disconnect the SRS unit connector A (28P), SRS unit connector B (28P), and SRS unit connector C (16P).
4. Remove the TORX bolts (D) using a TORX T30 bit, then pull out the SRS unit.
Installation
1. Install the SRS unit (A) with a new TORX bolts (B) using a TORX T30 bit, then connect the connectors (C) to the SRS unit; push them into
position until they click.
NOTE: Be sure the SRS unit is sitting squarely against it's bracket before torquing the TORX bolts.
